About 26 miles to our clinicRoughly 35 minutes without traffic
At Padgett, TRT begins at $199 a month. Your labs decide the rest: Morgan Colee, PA, reviews them with you, then lays out the plan and its cost so you know exactly what you're agreeing to before you start.
Do St. Pete men have to cross the bay for TRT?
No. You can do your visits by telehealth from anywhere in Florida, which for most of St. Petersburg is simply the easier choice. You need to be physically in Florida during the visit and show a valid Florida driver's license or ID on camera.
If you live in Old Northeast, Crescent Lake or Kenwood and work downtown, a Tampa appointment means a trip up I-275 and across the bridge at whatever hour it's booked. Telehealth lets you take the visit from home or a private office instead. Men who work in the Gateway area near Carillon Parkway are already at the foot of the bridge, and for them coming in person is a shorter hop. Telehealth also suits men who work from home in the Grand Central or EDGE districts, or who run a business downtown and can't step away for half a day.
What's the drive if I'd rather come in person?
About 26 miles, roughly 35 minutes without traffic, from downtown St. Petersburg. Take I-275 north over the Howard Frankland Bridge, follow SR 60 toward the airport, then take the Veterans Expressway north to the Linebaugh Avenue exit.
The bridge is the whole story on timing. Outside the morning and evening rush the trip is predictable; during it, plan on much longer. The Veterans is a toll road, so have your toll transponder or plan on toll-by-plate.
Where you start matters. From the Gateway area near Carillon Parkway, the trip is only about 17 miles and 25 minutes, because you're already at the bridge. From the west side near Tyrone Square, it's closer to 28 miles and 40 minutes.
How do lab visits work from St. Petersburg?
Labs come before any plan is set, and follow-up labs keep the plan on track afterward. Your provider tells you what to have drawn and how; ask when you book about the most practical way to get your draw done from the Pinellas side. If you cross the bridge for work anyway, a Tampa-side draw may be the easy answer; if you rarely leave Pinellas, ask about closer options.
That's the core of lab-guided care: the plan follows your results. If you want to know what gets checked and what the first visit covers, what to expect at a TRT clinic explains it in plain terms.
Where do St. Pete men stay active?
St. Petersburg makes it easy to move outdoors. The Pinellas Trail starts downtown and runs north through the county, the waterfront around Vinoy Park and the St. Pete Pier suits a morning run, and Weedon Island Preserve has boardwalks and paddling trails through the mangroves.
Boyd Hill Nature Preserve on Lake Maggiore has miles of trails at the south end of the city, and Fort De Soto Park, at the mouth of the bay, has beaches and a long paved path for weekend rides. Tell your provider about your routine; it's part of the conversation at every visit.
Which nearby cities does Padgett also serve?
Pinellas Park is about 22 miles from the clinic and a bit over 30 minutes, a shorter trip than downtown St. Pete. Gulfport is about 29 miles, close to 40 minutes. Largo sits in between; see our Largo page. Wherever you are in south Pinellas, telehealth works the same way.
Start with the basics on testosterone therapy at Padgett, then book your TRT visit as telehealth or in person. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and Wednesdays until 7 PM.

TRT in St. Petersburg, FAQs
Can my first TRT visit be by telehealth from St. Pete?+
Yes. Your first visit can be by video, as long as you're physically in Florida and show a valid Florida driver's license or ID on camera. Labs still come first, so your provider orders them and reviews the results with you before any plan is set.
Is there a good time of day to drive over for a visit?+
Mid-day is usually easiest. Without traffic, the trip from downtown St. Petersburg is about 35 minutes over the Howard Frankland Bridge, but rush hour on I-275 can stretch that considerably. If you work in Tampa, the Wednesday evening hours, until 7 PM, can also work on your way home.
How do I find out whether low testosterone explains how I feel?+
Start with labs. Symptoms alone can't confirm low testosterone, which is why Padgett's therapy is lab-guided. Book a visit, in person or by telehealth, and your provider orders the right tests and goes over the results with you. Our article on signs of low testosterone in men covers the background.
