How do you get off the peninsula and up to Linebaugh?

From Palma Ceia, go north on Dale Mabry Highway to Kennedy Boulevard, follow Kennedy west as it becomes Memorial Highway, then take the Veterans Expressway north to the Linebaugh Avenue exit. It's about 11 miles and 18 minutes in light traffic.

From Hyde Park, start up Howard Avenue to Kennedy instead; that's closer to 12 miles and 21 minutes. With MacDill Air Force Base at the southern tip, nearly everyone leaves South Tampa heading north, so Dale Mabry and Kennedy fill up at rush hour. You'll pay a toll on the Veterans.

What if you just moved here or were stationed at MacDill?

You can start right away, but one detail matters for telehealth: video follow-ups require a valid Florida driver's license or state ID shown on camera, and you must be physically in Florida during the call.

If you recently transferred to MacDill Air Force Base or moved to South Tampa and still carry an out-of-state license, plan on in-person follow-ups at the clinic until you have a Florida license or ID. The first visit is in person for everyone, so the license question only affects the months after it.

How does the evaluation fit around a downtown or hospital workday?

What's discussed, and what isn't promised?

Treatment is discussed only if it fits your evaluation. No diagnosis or prescription is promised ahead of time, and same-day medication isn't promised either.

Options can include stimulant or non-stimulant medication, chosen with your provider, and non-medication strategies. Prescriptions go to the pharmacy you choose, close to home or work, and the medication costs are separate from the visit.
