What's the drive from Temple Terrace?

Head west on Busch Boulevard all the way across north Tampa. Just past Dale Mabry Highway, Busch becomes Gunn Highway; a few hundred yards later, turn west onto Linebaugh Avenue and follow it about 3 miles to the clinic. It's about 10.6 miles and roughly 20 minutes when traffic is light.

Busch Boulevard has plenty of traffic lights, so the drive varies more with the time of day than the mileage suggests. Mid-morning or early afternoon is usually the easiest window.

The visit doesn't come with a promised diagnosis or prescription. If a controlled medication is considered, the provider checks E-FORCSE, Florida's prescription drug monitoring program, first. Anything prescribed is filled at your own pharmacy, and the medication is not part of the visit fee. Childhood comes up because ADHD symptoms must begin before age 12, even when the diagnosis comes decades later.

Can you keep follow-ups close to home with telehealth?

Yes. After the first visit, monthly 15-minute follow-ups at $136 can be done by video from Temple Terrace, as long as you're physically in Florida and show a valid Florida driver's license or state ID on camera.

If you share a house with roommates or family, decide where you'll take a video follow-up before the day comes. A closed door, a charged device and your Florida ID within reach matter more than anything else about the setup.

What if your focus problems started with a busy semester or job?

Tell your provider when they started. Stress can cause trouble concentrating, while ADHD is a long-standing pattern with symptoms that began in childhood and show up in more than one setting. The evaluation looks at that whole history, not just the last few months.

Before the visit, write down three or four recent, concrete examples: a missed deadline, a bill paid late, a conversation you drifted out of halfway through. Which nearby areas are also served?

The University area, between Temple Terrace and the USF campus, uses the same Busch Boulevard route. New Tampa is a bit farther, about 26 minutes from Tampa Palms, and Thonotosassa, to the east, adds more distance still, which makes telehealth follow-ups especially handy there.
